WORKING TOGETHER TO UNLOCK THE SECRETS OF ADOPTION

HELLO

Hello mother, it's been awhile
Remember me? and my baby smile?

Hello mom, it's been years
Did you ever cry? shed any tears?

Hello again, it's been ages
Too much sadness, too many rages

You gave me life
If you wanted to or not
For that, my heart reserves a spot

For the soul of the woman you could have been
has been lost and now will never be seen

Except in the "eye" of the mind that wanders
All this - and more - are my ponders

A beautiful woman - is what they say
Is that enough? My heart says "nay"

A caring soul - is what I've heard
I need more than just a word

You had problems - as I've been told
That's okay, all I need is a hold

From the mother you were meant to be
and the vaguest memory that you are to me.
